GENERAL Group believes that its corporate philosophy, "Living together for our future," and the SDGs philosophy of "Leave no one behind" are synonymous, and aims to realize a sustainable society.

GENERAL Air Conditioning Manufacturing (Thailand) Co., Ltd.(hereinafter, GMT) aims to realize a society where smiles are shared by employees through its unique "GMT Smile Project" activities, in which employees work with local residents and related organizations to protect the environment and contribute to society.

What is the GMT Smile Project?

In 2013, we launched the GMT Smile Project with the aim of supporting society and the happiness of our employees. Through these activities, we deepen our belief in Buddhism and ethics, foster mutual consideration, promote environmental protection, maintain physical and mental health, and create smiles.

Although the event was postponed for a period due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we held our ninth event in 2024. Over 3,000 people have participated in all nine events.

2nd	2014	Samut Prakan province	Participating in Buddhist events Offerings to the Sangha*	Through offering santātan to monks and temples, people express their gratitude to Buddhism and their local community.
			Mangrove planting	As part of our efforts to protect the environment, we planted 199 trees.
			Sightseeing at the ancient city (Mueng Angkor)	You can learn about traditional culture and history and rediscover the charm of the region.
3rd	2015	Pathum Thani province	Sightseeing at amusement parks and water parks	We visited Dreamworld to share some smiles and fun.
			Support activities through donations of goods and visits Infant care homes, youth care homes Homeless support facilities (male/female)	We work to bring hope to children and young people through donations of goods and visits.
4th	2016	Chonburi province	Visiting Baan Sukhawadee	Deepening the connection between the local community and nature.
			Conservation activities at Tap Phrom Bay Mangrove planting Releasing crabs and fish	By planting 250 mangrove trees and releasing crabs and fish into the water, we are contributing to improving the local water quality and preserving biodiversity.
5th	2017	Chonburi province	Mangrove planting at Khao Talo	We planted 1,800 trees on approximately 3.6 hectares of land.
			Sightseeing at Ramayana water park	We visited Ramayana Water Park in Pattaya.
			Donating to Wat Phang Klao Yai temple Donating cloth for alms Concrete construction of stairs	Respecting the local culture and beliefs, we made a donation to Wat Phan Klao Yai.
6th	2018	Chachoengsao province	Activities at Wat Pho Cleaning the temple Offering (donation of cloth) Donation of a wooden rest house Repair of toilets	The activities aimed to contribute to the local community and protect a sustainable environment.
			Ecotourism and local activities Visiting the temple and making donations Visiting the Korat village community	We are promoting sustainable tourism while respecting the local culture and natural environment.
7th	2019	Nonthaburi province	Activities on Koh Kret Visiting the temple Installing fire extinguishers Donating wheelchairs Local clean-up activities	To help local residents live comfortably and safely, we installed fire extinguishers and donated wheelchairs.
			Tourism as a cultural experience Visiting the Hmong community	Through interactions with local residents, we strive to deepen mutual understanding and support the local community.
8th	2023	Chonburi province	Planting mangroves	We planted 111 trees inside the cement pipe.
			Cleaning activities on Sattahip beach	The activities are aimed at cleaning up the area and fostering a sense of attachment to the local community.
			Snorkeling experience	The participants observed coral reefs and clownfish and learned the importance of conservation.
9th	2024	Chonburi province	Visiting schools in the surrounding area Donating air conditioners Donating daily necessities Providing lunch	In order to improve the local educational environment and support the healthy development of children, we visited and interacted with schools in the surrounding area.
