Product Security (Product Security Policy)

Based on our corporate philosophy, “The GENERAL Way”, the General Group's mission is to deliver a brighter future with the peace of mind to our customers and societies around the world through innovation and technology.

In recent years, the network connectivity of our products has made our lives more convenient and comfortable, but the threat of cyberattacks has also diversified. In this environment, one of our most important responsibilities is ensuring that our customers can use our products and services safely and securely.

With this in mind, we have established this policy to ensure security throughout all processes, from product planning and development to sales and after-sales service.

1. Product Security Structure

We have established a specialized organization to ensure product security and, under the supervision of management, will promote consistent security measures globally. Through this structure, we will respond to constantly changing threats and protect the safety of our customers.

2. Initiatives to Deliver Safe Products

To ensure our customers can use our products with peace of mind, we will implement security measures throughout the entire product lifecycle.

  • Planning and Design Stage: We analyze potential threats from the early stages of development and design products with security in mind (security by design).
  • Development Stage: We establish internal standards for developing secure software and strive to prevent the creation of vulnerabilities (security weaknesses).
  • Operation Stage: We appropriately protect customer data obtained from products and strive to ensure privacy.

3. Raising Security Awareness

We provide ongoing security education and awareness-raising activities to all employees involved in product development. This ensures that each employee has a high level of security awareness and fosters an organizational culture that promotes the creation of secure products.

4. Compliance with Laws and Social Norms

We comply with product security-related laws, regulations, and other social norms in the countries and regions in which we operate, and conduct our business in good faith.

5. Responding to Vulnerabilities

We constantly collect information on product vulnerabilities, and in the unlikely event that a vulnerability is discovered in one of our products, we will promptly disclose the information to customers and provide prompt countermeasures, such as software updates.

In accordance with this policy, we will continue to strive to improve product security, placing customer trust first.
